The Tax Supervisor would work directly with a tax team and provide some support to auditing functions. Our firm serves a variety of clients that include individuals, businesses, trusts, and not for profit organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
- Communicate with clients to gather supporting documentation
- Provide tax planning and develop solutions to client tax related issues
- Supervise and train tax associates to ensure tax returns are completed correctly
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with
GAAP
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments
- Communicate with federal, state, and local tax authorities to resolve notices or issues
- Maintain effective control procedures over the tax preparation process and mentor associates on
procedures and policies
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Experience with CCH Prosystem fx tax preparation or similar software
- Strong financial report interpretation skills
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Experience with high net worth individual and multi-state tax returns
