Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a CPA designation and a strong background in tax management. This role will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities for our organization and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
The Tax Manager will also be responsible for managing a team of tax professionals and providing guidance and support as needed.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement tax strategies and policies to minimize tax liability for the organization- Oversee all tax planning and compliance activities, including preparing and filing tax returns- Review and analyze tax returns and financial statements to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement- Conduct research on new tax laws and regulations and make recommendations for their implementation- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and authorities, such as the IRS- Train and supervise a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support as needed- Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax information- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and provide updates to the company as needed- Participate in special projects and initiatives related to tax planning and compliance
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field- CPA designation is required- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations- Experience with CCH Axcess and tax accounting software- Excellent leadership and communication skills- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively- Knowledge of individual and partnership tax preparation is preferred- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
