My client, a leader in the manufacturing space for crowd control solutions, is on the hunt for an experienced Director of Sales to help lead their sales organization. This is an on-site role at their facility in Holtsville, NY and is an immediate hiring need!
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Oversee in-house and field sales team members, providing day-to-day guidance, motivation, and support. Ensure team alignment with sales objectives and targets.
- Client Engagement and Market Building: Travel to potential clients for high-priority or profitable projects. Implement cold calling and market building strategies to expand our client base and increase brand recognition.
- Order Management and Pricing: Manage order tracking, quoting, and pricing discussions, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of services to clients
- Training and Development: Onboard and train sales team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and strategies for success. Conduct regular coaching sessions to enhance skills and performance.
- Sales Meetings and Strategy Alignment: Host quarterly sales meetings to review performance, share best practices, and align strategies for achieving sales targets.
- Distribution Channel Management: Develop and maintain relationships with distributors and resellers, optimizing sales through these channels.
- Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting: Prepare and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and reports to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Product Launch Support and Lead Generation: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to expedite the launch of new products to market. Implement lead generation strategies to identify and cultivate potential clients, driving the sales pipeline forward.
- Solution-Based Selling: Utilize a solutions-based selling approach to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services to existing clients, maximizing revenue opportunities.
-Trade shows: Oversee all aspects of the event, including setup, preparation of materials, delegation of tasks, and planning the execution.
