Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering, manufacturing processes, and NPI (New Product Introduction) with a strong understanding of video and media technology. The candidate should also possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful NPI
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and procedures
- Conduct process audits to identify areas for improvement
- Implement DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles in product design
- Manage and coordinate tooling and equipment procurement and maintenance
- Stay current with industry technology and trends to identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the video or media industry
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and NPI
- Experience with video interfaces such as HDR, SDI, and AV
- Familiarity with proAV, cinema, and broadcast technology
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with DFM and tooling design
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to travel and work remotely if necessary
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with manufacturers
- Familiarity with video streaming technology
- Knowledge of product development processes
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
