Position Overview:A Civil Engineer is responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining various infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water systems. They use their technical expertise and knowledge of design standards to ensure these projects' safety, efficiency, and sustainability. They work closely with project managers, clients, and other team members to deliver successful and high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize engineering calculations to design and plan various infrastructure projects- Create and modify project drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D- Ensure compliance with design standards and regulations
- Develop profiles, cross sections, and horizontal and vertical alignments for projects- Perform earthwork calculations to determine the most efficient design
- Manage project timelines and budgets
- Implement quality control measures to ensure project accuracy and safety
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project goals
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering
- Proficiency in engineering calculations and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong knowledge of design standards and regulations
- Experience in creating project drawings, profiles, and alignments
- Ability to perform earthwork calculations- Project management skills, including time and budget management- Attention to detail and ability to implement quality control measures
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their needs
